I didn't know what this was at first or why the top had a hole in it...ahhh, excuse the pun here...the lightbulb went off lol or on, I should say!
It was a lamp ! I bought it because of the original color, turquoise because I'm creating a "shabby chic" display with turquoise and white and this fits in perfectly!!!
I believe it's from 1950's. And love the wear on it. Originally, only one side had the gold on it anyway, except for at the bottom...We'll see how it all turns out :) No idea who the maker is.
It's great!
Thanks Jewels for the love and comment...When I was a kid I used to dream that I was flying on the back of a horse with wings...I don't recall him being turquoise tho LOL!!!
Thank you all for the loves;

I just found this exact piece & for sure is the base to a lamp.
Maker: DWELL, 1950. The gold on her is 22 k hand painted. (her???)
Ceramic Unicorn Head Bust. (costly too)
Thanks all!
She's a beauty! Let me see what I can find out about DWELL.
beautiful!@!!
Totally gorgeous unicorn lamp share, I love the pastel turquoise color. There is a website by Dwell featuring their vintage designs, dwell.com, you may see your lamp there. Fabulous find!!
