I think this is a WWII bayonet based on the fact that it has 2 rivets and not 3 like in WWI…Please help me accurately identify this bayonet.
It has a German JA HENCKLES inscription and LOGO on the blade
Approx 405mm in total length and blade approx 250mm in length.
It is very well looked after and preserved and looks authentic.
Please tell me what it is worth, I am sure to cross reference the value with a number of people.
This is a German model 1884/98 bayonet, second pattern. 84/98s never had three rivets, and were used in both world wars. That the blade is bright and that it has a brand name instead of a manufacturer code makes me think this is more likely WWI. Not sure of that, so are there any other markings?
I don't usually like to try to assign a dollar value, but these are pretty common, and you can check to see what they are selling for on eBay (not the starting price, but what they are selling at - many sellers ask too much)

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your feedback. I don't see any other markings. I will have a look at what they are selling for as I really don't have any use for it. It's in pretty good shape though so maybe I will find the right owner on the web.
Kind Regards
I have another bayonet it is black in colour (also steel) and seems that it fits over the barrel of the gun. Can I upload it so you can help me identify it as well? Regards
sure, I'll take a crack at it.
