I found this little Still Bank (County Bank) at a pawn shop in South Africa. It seems to be made of Brass as a magnet does not stick to it as it would to Cast Iron. Its measurements seem to be slightly smaller than those I have seen online. The two side panels both have numbers punched into them, there is a pic but the numbers seem to be No. 180427 although the 2 is not very clear. Other online examples of this bank have The RdNo 180427 on the Rear of the Bank, but this one does not. I have read up that it is possible reproductions were made of these banks although this seems to look very old, especially the side panels.
5.1 Inch (13cm) Long
2.67 Inch (6.8cm) Wide
4.13 Inch (10.5) Tall
Does anyone have any info on this Still bank? Year? Is it British or American?
Ok, so the sizes are pretty much the same. It was just my converting from inches that made it seem smaller. Any ideas?
