It's one of uncommon decor.
I bought it last year, but I didn't find any clear documentation of an attribution on this particular decor. I call it simply "thistle", this is how it looks
Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes, but it is not an authentic signature. These are often faked. If you go to the Loetz.com website, they have a section on true Loetz signatures vs. fakes.

did check the Loetz site; the images aren't that great for comparison. just siting the similarities and letting the experts opine...
I would almost bet on Rindskopf. Now it's something similar on ebay, but unfortunately it doesn't send outside the US.
I believe these have been associated with Germany in the past, rather than Bohemia, although no maker in particular has been identified.
I know, but I'd still bet on Rindskopf after 1910. But who knows, I might lose.

I've seen several examples of different shapes with various potential attributions. You might contact SWAntiques about their signed piece and ask why they seem convinced it to be Loetz...
Really, it isn't Loetz. I have been collecting Loetz for almost 20 years (or more now?) and it has very few similarities to Loetz glass, and as I said, the signature is a fake.
perhaps someone should set them straight on that misattribution...
There is a version of this decor found on a satin finish cased green vase with a white interior lining. The embossed decor is the same as this example, and the vase is found with a "Germany" provenance mark on the underside. Based on this unique decor being found with that German provenance mark, it has been believed for quit some time that this is German production, and not Bohemian or Czech.
To me at least, that mark alone, would almost certainly disqualify Rindskopf as the source of the glass.

I looked last night for a bit last night but could not find my copies. Here is an example of the same vase without the mark. I will look some more today for it. It is clearly marked with Germany.

Thanks. The decor is certainly very similar, but the only example of one layer of glass. Does it lead me to Rindskopf's carnival glass ?? But I don't insist on Rindskopf. I'm just looking for clues to what Rindskopf could have produced from 1910 to the late 1930s. It is clear from period advertisements that it was not only pressed utility glass.

You are welcome. In 15 years of research of varying European glass, I have only seen maybe a dozen vases in this decor. I have seen 3 in the same ground as Colori's example in this post. Two of them were torpedo shaped, and sat in mounts.
I have always been of the opinion that when so few examples of a decor are seen over long periods of time, it seems to narrow the possible production house to a single source, and not multiples. That is certainly just an observation of mine through the years.
What's worse is that Heritage had this piece (in good condition) at one of its auctions, except it was undamaged. What you notice is that someone actually ground the bottom point of the glass in order to make a "pontil" to forge a signature on. Talk about sacrilege & shady...

Hi! I have a vase with a very similar decor, but mine is both ribbed and has the thistle decor. Did you ever find out who made it? I would love to learn more about it! If you want I can post pictures of mine. I just need to figure iut how this forum works first :)
