I found this item while cleaning out my grandparents house and nobody seems to know what it is. ....
We thought it might be a scale weight, but it's an odd weight and has a handle.
Any assistance identifying this item is greatly appreciated.
Description: The base is silver metal and the handle is wooden (black).
Height: 5 inches tall
Weight: 148 grams / 5.2oz
I have one like this that is all metal. Mine is one piece where yours has the wooden handle. I never did figure out what it was so I have it in a tool box. Mine is made of one solid piece of aluminum turned on a lathe for sure. Mine is probably a copy or reproduction of yours so we may both learn if someone can put a name on it.
I have a vague memory of someone using a tool like this for Tooling leather crafts.
