    One of a pair Sixty Four Pounder [6.3 inch ]64 cwt mk 111 RML
    [Rifled Muzzle Loaded ] Woolwich Guns on siege over bank
    carriage which means a field service carriage upon the top of
    which was mounted an a frame which raised the gun to a height
    sufficient to fire over a 5 foot six inch parapet the 64 pdr was
    rifled with 3 groves. They could range out to 5.000 yards [4.5 km]
    These Guns were used in India to Attack Forts or walled towns
    Pulled by Elephants. oxen. later by horses.

      In American lingo, that's called a "pop up gun".

      At our second Fort Largs they had two disappearing guns that fired, then to reload went down to loading position then popped up. Armstrong again
      try to find pictures of same.
