I found this ring a while ago but didn't post it because I was hoping to find out something before. I tried a few times but couldn't come up with much information.
The ring is rather large; it's about 1 1/4 in and makes an impression when worn (I am not going to say if it's a good or bad one; this depends on the taste) The stone is very dark. In reality it looks dark brown and doesn't show any bands. Could it be an agate or a carnelian?
The ring is marked with M.I.F.G. I found some other rings with the same marks on line but there was no information about who made it. Some stated that the pieces were "modernist", which sounds about correct to me.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, aghcollect:)

Thanks a lot, valentino97!
Thanks, valentino97, for your comment. The ring actually looks a lot more impressive in reality. It is very large, a true statement piece. The colour of the stone is a very dark chocolate brown. You cannot see and bands or variation of colour when you look at it. I was surprised by the way the photo turned out:)
Missed this one... Is the stone backed? Is it translucent?
I think brown agate :-)
Thanks, kyratango. I cannot see the back of the stone becaue of the construction but I believe there is a silver backing. It is not translucent as far as I can tell. Brown agate might be a good possibility:)
