Small but beautiful chain slide with green and pink plique-a-jour-enamel, mother of pearl and garnet. Lovely Jugendstil leaf motif. I think it must have been a watch chain originally, but has been nicely converted into a necklace with faux pearl drops. The slide and chain are silverl gilt, there are no marks but both are of German origin, bought in Berlin. Made near 1900.

      Hi BelleEpoque

This is the slide off a guard chain. The chain may have been part of the original guard. The clasp look period too.

Thanks for the loves! Jewels, also thanks so much for the info and tip. Kyra... Jewels means a nearly identical piece that you can find on Tadema's archive file of Jugendstil necklaces... could may well be from the same Pforzheim workshop. Jewels, you sure have an eye!! :)
