Im not sure what this box was for, but it's pretty cool looking. On the bottom it says 'JAPAN', so i know where it was made. The box is three inches tall x four inches wide. I'm not sure what category to put this under. Does anyone have an idea on what it was used for and when?
found at Urban Ore in Berkeley, CA.

I remember 70's era we had a set of wood and cork drink coasters in something like this. Not the same lid decal though, ours had some kind of flowers decals.
