All-cloth doll (36cm/14") with a moulded cloth face (over what may be a paper maché base), socket head, button-jointed shoulders and hips, brown glass sleep eyes and a human-hair wig. Her pink cotton body is very firmly stuffed but quite light. Her face is slightly reminiscent of early Dean's Rag Book dolls, but her body with its button-joints is quite different. I have never seen a doll quite like her before. She appears to have a circular embossed mark on the back of her neck but it is completely illegible. She has new clothes made from vintage materials and a new pair of Käthe Kruse leather shoes that fit her perfectly. Possibly from the 1920s or 1930s?
