She is a character face ! :-) Not a dolly face . Very nice doll.
The Schoenau & Hoffmeister porcelain factory, also known as Porzellanfabrik Burggrub, was located in Burggrub, Germany . They sold doll heads to other companies .

Why don't I see the star and S H marks on this doll?
    4. kdantiquedoll, 10 years ago
Is she a rare hard to find mold number?
    5. Manikin Manikin, 10 years ago
No not rare . The markings were just one of a few they used . The S H you refer to is for Schoenau & Hoffmeister not Simon Halbig . Depending on who they sold doll heads to what mark was used and time frame . She is lovely !

Broke head but marked like yours :-) Not all 169's had the PB and SH mark .

Unable to resolve there differences Carl Hoffmeister left and Arthur Schoenau became the sole owner.
