Found this at an antique store about a year ago. I have no idea what it is. I found one just like it at another antique store for $80 but i only paid $1.50 which I thought was pretty good.

Your jug holds kerosene for an old kerosene operated stove, you fill it then turn it upside down and the spring plunger opens up...try and find an emerald green one!
ROB IS RIGHT ON THE AMISH STILL USE THESE TO COOK WITH THERE KEROSENE COOK STOVES
That was a great deal. You can't beat that.
I POSTED YESTERDAY A TWO BURNER COOK STOVE WITH THE JUG ON IT I THINK I PUT IT UNDER KITCHEN IF YOU WANT TO CHECK IT OUT AND SEE HOW IT WORKS
I posted photos of a stove that uses this type of jar on this website. check it out if you want to see how it works. You could probably get $20 to $50 for that on ebay.
