My uncle just gave me this sign from schlitz. A 1983 neon. It was originally for my step dad as a joke because he hates that brand. I asked him if I could have it because I just love this vintage stuff. My brand or not.. so I cleaned the dust off. Hung it on the wall. And plugged it in. Awesome sign. Still works as an added bonus. My uncle has had it since it was made in 1983 and it has been in storage since 1985 when I was born. No fancy story he just up and gave it to me.
