This milk glass nesting dish has a base which measures approx. 4? X 5? (at top) and is about 5? tall with lid. I purchased it at an antique store, in England, 15+ years ago. I have tried to identify it and am wondering if any of you have ever seen this? I have seen the boar's head milk glass dish but not one of the entire boar. Atterbury? Thank you!!!

Weirdpuckett - Thank you for your response. I have looked at several sites with Atterbury nesting dishes and haven't found this one - tho' - like you my hunch is it is an Atterbury piece. Just wish I could find it pictured somewhere to be sure. Thanks again.

one might question the somewhat similar design of Atterbury pieces. Did Atterbury use marks other than noting patent dates. Many of the Atterbury covered pieces included lacy edges and the animals sat upon a decorative plinth. The UK provenance, tho' not eliminating Atterbury, would suggest other makers. I was able to find another of the same design in crystal that was also unknown maker with same marks; Atterbury typically made their similar pieces only in milk glass.

also in 1910 catalog with what looks like an indication of 1905:

Wow TallCakes - you are good! I would have never thought the little fellow would be from Poland. Guess he must have found his way to me as I have Polish ancestry. He's in good shape for being close to 100+ years old. Dzi?kuj? yu!
