This glider and these metal chairs are all from the 1950's the glider I found at an auction the fream was so bad that no one wanted it so I got it for a dollor . I sand blasted and wired weeled the back and seat down to bair steel. Then put two coats of a uriathine (sp) primer on it and two top coats of rust proof paint is was converted into a porch swing. I just need to find the right wood for the arm rests. The red and white chairs were found at a swap meet the green and cream were found behind a barn and the yellow was sitting along the road put out with the trash. All were taken down to bar steel and treated the same as the glider when put back to gether I used stainless steen nuts and bolts with a poly spacer between the chair and the frame....
I would love to be at your place chillaxing in things this good!
I remember these from the time I lived in Tallahassee! We didn't have an open porch, but this would have been the kind of chair we'd put in it! I loved them!
