    This is an old cast iron bank. Not sure of the maker but was painted red and it's in great shape. Came from my grandmother's collection. Trying to find out who made it and the age on it. Thanks so much!

      If you look at the bottom of this an original would have gate marks. Newer reproductions won't have them. The gate marks will always be on the underside of an original and a repro won't have them at all. If you research gate and runner marks it will help you in identifying cast pieces. It is easy to get burned with cast. Take my word for that, I learned the hard way.

      Nice find Mani, look at the smooth surface on the one you found. It has no pimples and sharp edges where the paint is chipped. That one on ebay looks like it came from an original cast.

      Looks like the real thing to me, 1930's and could be original paint.
      I appears to be an Arcade not AC Williams. Should be 4 1/2 inches high.
