I'm impressed. Not my field but really like. I also have very little knowledge of beads but have brushed that field enough to wonder if you have any knowledge of where they were made? These have the surface look of the Venetian beads but never seen them use this pattern or colours.
In comparison there are extreme difference between dze( Zee) beads and Venetian beads; Basically is composition; The other is origen'.
I'm in the Caribbean & most of the really old beads that the Dutch etc. used were from Venice. The locals like to use the propaganda label of "slave beads" to suit their purposes, mainly tourist. They even pass repops. In St. Eustatius, we had the "blue beads" (Dutch) that were the same as the Dutch used to give to Amer. Indians for land that the Indians never claimed as they had no of owning land. I've also had many multi-coloured beads that were supposedly used in the slave trade apparently that are quite beautiful. Still not my bag, but interesting.
Let me correct myself. My research has shown the the mentioned blue beads were made in the Netherlands.
