This machine is baffling me. I am unable to find information about it.
It is a ward vs III
Serial number located on front of machine as picture 2. K183813662.
Has an electric light globe fitted to machine.
(Possible after sale add on?)
Gold leaf is formed to flowers, a crown, a scroll that states Ward Bros - G & S Ward and has writing MADE IN GERMANY.
And metal plating has a pebble like etched pattern.
Would anyone have any insight to this beautiful machine?
The electric light has been fitted to the back of the machine
Thank you very much would it be worth restoring or would original condition including light globe do more justice? Would you have a rough estimate of value both restored and original condition?
Ward Bros certainly did import Vesta/L.O. Dietrich machines. Here is a timeline of Vesta logos that may help you narrow down a year http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.php/L_O_Dietrich
Research values by searching Australian eBay for sold machines. My experience in Australia is that often that type and condition of the cabinet, is what determines the price, rather than what the machine is.
