looks to be Manganese Glaze-Dark Brown
so dark it looks black
Signed-once again I can't make the signature out. Which is nothing new....will take time to figure out (if possible).
If you haven't noticed by now....I love any pottery with a pinched mouth.
This is a heavy piece and look how huge the strape handle is.
