Hi all have read a little about theses but hope someone can fill in the gaps, robin day design hille made in australia. Would they of originally came out with this vinyl looking upholstery? Also I haven't seen any on line exactly like these and the chairs chrome frame? Would they be around the 1960's ? They didn't cost me much I just like them and would like to find out more! Thanks for any imformation in advance, and sorry for all my photos if around the wrong way, taken on my I pad and not sure how to rotate them yet!
As far as I know Robin Day chairs were made here in Australia under license (by Sebel?)
There were variations, and yes, the vinyl and chrome were some of them.
Very collectible, but better than that, very comfortable!
Thanks racer4four yes! I do enjoy sitting in my man cave on them looking at our slowly growing collection! One of our better opp shop find these chairs I hope!
