    Assistance given in finding occupations for all men of good character
    returning to civil life. Rates of pay for soldiers enlisted or re in enlisted
    on or after 26 Oct 1925. Guardsmen 2 shillings a day , 2 & six after three
    years service if efficient. lance Corporal 3 shillings & 3 pence a day Corporal 4 shillings a day Sergeant 6 shillings a day.
    Company Quarter master sergeant 8 shillings a day.
    Company sergeant major 8 shillings and 6 pence a day.
    regimental sergeant major 12 shillings a day.

      Not brains but smart appearance counted also at that time no employment
      Army better then hunger or prison.

      I'm not convinced. Been shot & didn't like it. There is no way I can express how much I disliked it!!!!!!
