In 1981 i traded my 750 Honda motorcycle for this radio and a Toyota car.
The fella i traded with had know idea what it was, he told me that it came out of an old barn somewhere in Wisconsin. he got it in a trade that he made with an old farmer there in Wisconsin. i took it because i just like old stuff, well now i am old stuff and have been trying for years to find out what this is, it looks home made, no company names on it anywhere. It has 8 tubes , 2 Rauland lyric audio frequency transformers , 3 Remler intermediate frequency transformers type 600, 1 karas orthometric condenser, and another type of condenser next to it without markings, it is all in a wood case, measuring 31 inches long x 9 inches deep x 8 inches high, the front panel is not wood but some sort of plastic. both large dials in front go from 0 to 100 the three smaller dials also go from 0 to 100, on the bottom right there are two large female jacks. in the center a meter made by Weston to measure dc volts. I'm guessing it is some sort of home made ham or shortwave radio, it's power from what i can see is supplied by an A battery and a B battery, but what i know about radios you can fit into a half full thimble. any help identifying this radio would be so much appreciated. for no other reason buy to satisfy a 33 year old curiosity Thank you so much

I would start looking at E. H. Scott Worlds Record Super (5-10) radios. To figure out which model it is.
