This was the first piece of Tango Glass I ever bought and I believe it to be Kralik. I was completely smitten by the tadpoles......they wiggle like tadpoles and are completely oversized for the vase. At the rim the glass is quite thin and the crimped shape has been formed by hand.
Height 11 cm.
very beautiful!!!
Thank you muchly, SEAN..... that must be my fastest ever response:-)
lol!!! your very welcome sklo!!!
Front on..very similar to mine!...:-)
Is it a jog sklo or a vase?
I would have said loetz but they usually pop in the amethyst on rim on this style of item.
lovely item...colour is lovely
I agree Inky, in fact your post reminded me that I've always meant to post this.
Hello Anne, it's a vase but the rim did not photograph well. Thank you for your generous comment.
Thank you vetraio, VioletOrange, Michelleb, racer, austrohungaro and smiata for the loves.
For what my comment is worth (and at present it is more heart than anything else) the applied glass looks Kralik-y in its application. :-)
Hello, IanB, I consider your opinion worth just as much as that of anyone else who has a large collection of Kralik.:-) Also I agree totally with your comment on the applications. Perhaps 'hand-tooling' thin glass into four or six points with arcs in between will always have inconsistent results. Certainly the rim of this one is much better than the rim of the other. Interested in knowing if the rim of your 'serpent' one has tiny, tiny bumps on it. Please let me know.
Thanks for the love, Pantastic.
As I look at the colour now, and seeing some more Welz tango rims, I am not too sure of my post of seven months ago!
That's fine Ian.....I think we all learn as we go along :-)
