Antique Rose Rocker is a mystery rocker..was given to me from
my neighbor " Rose "... A unique finish of Black with worn oversized seat and arms, and with beautiful turned back and spindles! Any information of era, age, and name would be appreciated???
I like that oversize seat statement. Oversize relative to what? A 90 pound person? A 400 pound person? A tape measure comes in handy around here. If you don't know how to read it just go for the closest inch. A picture of the underside might also be of help.
Also, if the seat is 24" or less at the front (widest point) it is a standard size. When you look at the seat look for a thick, one piece slab seat. This seat looks about 1 1/8" thick.
In regards to the oversized seat comment listed in my original post! The measurements 20 1/2" W x 17 1/2" L ...actual seat is solid piece, back of seat thickness is 1 1/2" and 1 1/8" at front of seat. Overall Rocker measurements: 36" tall at back, 21" W arm to arm, 17" H floor to seat, 20" rocker to rocker.
