Mystery object discovered with a metal detector in
zeeland middelburg Holland.
It is made of iron with perhaps copper plating and measures 6 centimeters (2.36 inches)
Pictured is a bee on a flower.
In 844 a monastery was built at middelburg, which remained an active Catholic foundation until the Reformation.
The bee is a symbol of the church, and weather there is a connection, i don't know.
Experts have said it doesn't appear to be 'horse brass' or 'horse decoration.
Some have suggested a doorknob.
could it be a 'picture button' i don't know.
