Hi all.
This doll has been in the family for several generations. Great Grandma came from Germany with it, when she moved to the US in 1910.
Unfortunately, when she passed away, so did the story that came with the doll.
I've looked all over the web and can't find any information of this specific doll, so figured I'd post pics here and hopefully someone can tell me more about it.
I read somewhere that the makers insignia is inside the shoulder, but there's no way I'm going to take this thing apart to find out who made it. I do know she grew up in Bavaria, just outside Nuremberg, but that doesn't tell me much.
Any doll pro's out there that can tell me more info about this beautiful doll?
Thanks

This is a nice common little german china head can't tell the size from the picture but she was made anywhere from 1880 to 1900 . they very often not marked and most of the time they are marked on the back outside of the shoulder plate . but usually they are not marked . Especially these little common ones . She is a sweet little treasure and you should keep her for family . Her value is not to great so just enjoy her.
Wow I know that wasn't me that answered to that doll. If I were you I would go to the eBay boards and ask about her. She looks like a nice one to me.
Your china although hair do is not real clear appears to be a what is referred to as a "Flat top China" Circa 1860-70. China's are dated by their hair do's and value is in rariety of hair do and if it has elaborate hair or glass eyes ect size of doll ect . Original bodies are desired and of coarse no cracks in head or shoulder plate . Hope this helps . She is nice doll .
