This is my very favorite Charlotte Clark Doll (CC), which I purchased from a Walt Disney Company executive's estate sale in 1966 in Burbank, California. Pinoccho has all the "signature" CC materials and craftsmanship: velveteen face with black floss mouth, applied pie-cut eyes (one eye was restored), applied ears and wired elongated nose and wire framed cloth “curly bangs” on a cloth body. He has wooden arms and legs having painted black ‘joints’ and is dressed in yellow felt hat with red felt feather, light blue cordory shorts, black velvet vest, grey-blue bowtie, and brown felt shoes. Stamped on one under sole: PINOCCHIO trademark Walt Disney Production 1939. Height is 16.5 inches. He has a gently faded patina but is in SUPER MINT condition. I believe Charlotte made more than one, perhaps two or three of her Pinoccho Dolls as prototypes for WD merchandising. As a toy designer myself, I greatly admire Charlotte's amazing talents to translate a flat animated character drawing into a dimensional doll. She was the first and the best! Enjoy these photos and PLEASE let me know if you have seen one of the other dolls. Dawn

I used one of your images as a starting point for a painting (part of a series of Pinocchio paintings). I would like to communicate with you via email in order to obtain permission and assign credit to you for the photograph before I exhibit the painting. Would you mind contacting me via email (jayes@umich.edu) regarding this.
      Most appreciated,
      -Jaye
