Can anyone help me find out about these very small vintage/antique bar pins? They are very small and came inside a four fold black case on a purple velvet square. One I found online said it was an honorary Masonic pin of some type but the star and the one that says Iowa ha e eluded me

Those look like fraternity pins, probably from someone at the University of Iowa. Are there any markings on the back? (you might leed a loup or magnifying glass to see. Usually fraternity pins are at least 10 K gold

What is the writing on the bar pin on the right? Also, from what i found after a quick search, pas a pas is frence, roughly translated as leaps and bounds. Sounds like a motto.

There are 10K markings on the back of each one but no other information. The pin on the far right consists of the sheild with a chain dangling the sword pin. That is the masonic pin that I found out about during my search. I thought maybe the others were masonic too but found nothing. Thanks for the fraternity information, I'll start searching in that direction.
