Neptun, with its vertical branched "seaweed" pattern, is not particularly uncommon, but this is actually the first one I have added to my collection. I chose this piece, acquired in a trade with a friend (thanks, Brian), for its gorgeous silver-blue iridescence over a creta ground. Circa 1903, a year when many of the paper design patterns are missing. Five inches tall, with three indents around the bottom section. Fire polished rim, ground and polished pontil.
Warren you did a good job capturing it's wonderful iridescence!! They were on their A game the day they made this one, it beautifully done.
What a great form for this decor. A fine trade.
Beautiful piece ! Love it ;-)
