Been looking for one of these for a while now, 69 Sear Screamer, needs painting but it rides well and I may just leave it as it is, other than adding a few details in the future, I just happen to have a NOS Sears Drag Slick tire for it. :)

Awesome! Looks like someone tried to modify it by taking the front brake off and mounting two on the back wheel? Probably an advantage for the longest skid competitions.

Our neighbourhood was full of these when I was a kid, we just called them all "Mustangs" (after the most common brand I suppose). The crazier modifications and additions one had the cooler you were! Playing cards clothes-pinned to the forks to make the "engine noise" against the spokes, butterfly handlebars (with streamers!), banana seat, sissy bar (yours is missing the sissy bar), and the coveted stick shifter - man, if you had the stick shifter you won!

Definitely a cool bike, one of my other bikes has the 4' Sissy Bar. :)

There was a guy named Dale on the block who WAS Evel Kneival! His dad was a oil rig worker and welder. Nobody could top his bike. It had extended forks and a smaller than stock front wheel, with a larger than stock rear wheel. I think he even managed to modify it to six speeds from three - and then eventually to 10 with parts he cannibalized when the 10-speed bikes came along. He could pop the longest wheelie of anyone - he just ended up riding it like a unicycle... even backwards! And when it came to jumping ditches or ramps he was fearless!

Good memories. I often wonder if that guy is still alive...

I had one that was chrome, had a 4' sissy bar and 10 speed, gave it to a friend not long ago.

Stonie, just had a chance to look through your entire posted collection. You have some great stuff, and not just the bikes!

Love the house as well. When I win the lottery first up for me is a 1910 Queen Anne style house complete with turret and massive curved porch. Then the antique picking kicks into high gear!
