Ivory billiard balls purchased by my Great Grandfather around 1904 when it was normal to do that kind of thing.
He was station carpenter at Barambah cattle station in South East Queensland, of which he and his father built the homestead and outbuildings. Now on the heritage register it has been restored and been turned into a boutique winery.
He made a billiard table for entertainment for the workers on the property, also made the cues and only purchased the balls.
