This is a rare find! A key complete still with tag that reads Randolph Field, Tex. Numbers stamped into the medal. The rusty picture is before cleaning. I emailed the historian at Randolph AFB and they say to the best of their knowledge it probably was to a building that was an airplane hanger built in 1931. They confirmed that the key fits a Corbin Mortise lock. The P5 on the key indicates what lock it would open. As for the "12420" they believe it was the serial number for the lock. They also called it a "unique find". The very cool part is Randolph Field is one of approx. 2500 on the National Historic Landmark registry! Enjoy the pictures!
