Two Light Infantry or Skirmishers One 95th Rifleman with Baker rifle
Other one a French Voltigeurs with Smooth bore musket.Fusil de dragon.
95th The first infantry trained to think for themselves and did not have
to stand in line unable to fire without orders , The Rifled weapons
Capable of firing up to 300 yards With fore and rear sites adjustment.
Slower to load but very accurate . Napoleon did not like rifles the French
weapons slower to load and fouled faster.he preferred the Bayonet.
Also the French Light infantry Musket was slightly shorty made for mounted troops. it had a fore sight no rear sight. expected to fire at
50 to 100 feet. Of my two models the Green jacket 95th i bought
at a hobby store the Voltigeurs my friend wife a first class doll maker
made it for me from a book of uniforms with bits and pieces she had think she did well. height of models 12 inch and 13 inch .
A great pair of figures. Looks like 12" ie 1/6th scale.
Your wife does excellent work.
