Found a little piece of Australia today at Volunteer's. I noticed this small kangaroo stick pin's original price was a bit high for my liking, however today it was only half price so I figured it was worth it. It's not even gold or marked and I think the stone may be real just lesser quality. I've seen these online attached to little white cards "a la" souvenir and marked Australia so I think that's what this might be. -Mike-

This makes me smile Mike. They still sell these at the tourist spots around Sydney Harbour. Yes, it's an opal, but probably the the cheapest chip they could find.

I have one of these stick pins. 30 plus years ago one of my high school girlfriends tripped around Australia. She brought me back one of these pins. I have it somewhere in the original box. I never wore it. Now I am going searching through things to find it. Thanks for sharing
