This watch was given to my grandmother when she was a child in the 30's. Last year it was restored to full working order. We also had to replace the band since the original band had begun to crumble. Does anyone know anything about this specific watch? I would like some help identifying maker and any other details that may be known about it. Thanks!
Very nice mickey, It's a 1948 Ingersoll(US Time). Note the only difference from the 1947, was Ingersoll was removed from dial and WDPwas move from the left hand side of the 6 to the right hand side of the 6. Note if you go looking for a box the 1947 and 1948 look alike with the difference being Ingersoll was removed and replaced with the word "New" on the front. Hope this helps you with your search, Thanks for sharing your grandmothers watch and story. Kerry
I posted the pictures of the two and their boxes so you could compare their differences. Again, nice piece and thanks for sharing
