I have three chairs that are similar..and a couch with the identical design (although more detailed on the couch than in your photos). I've been trying to figure out how old they are and where they come from.they've been in my family for far more than 50 years.we inherited them from my grandmother before I was born and they were old even then( im in my fifties) my mother left into me when she died..she always refer to them is bishop chairs.I've only ever seen two that were similar and I've been diligently looking.I know that they were originally stuffed with horse hair? Or something similar.I have two that need work and they still have the original stuffing in them.
