...just a peek behind the old Hoosier style cabinet that is seen in many of my CW posts. I'm thinkin' this cabinet is from the 1940s-50s era, around the time my parents were married in 1949. The cabinet was pick up at a local sale about 12-15 years ago. It is nothing really that special, just a relatively cheap cabinet from 'back in the day'. I simply enjoy it as a memory of times pasted. I love the flour bin/sifter; what a convenient storage/dispenser for the family baker; it probably holds around twenty pounds of flour. Behind the doors are some of the small glassware items amassed over the years. Unfortunately the floral decals have become discolored a bit over the years, but that also enhances the beauty of this simple furniture.
Very nice display!

Hi there Eye, that is a covered jelly compote. It's a Wright reproduction piece in the Three Face pattern; part of one of those group lot purchases that included an Imperial MMA Three Face cake stand many moons back. There are also several Three Face shakers in front of the compote.

'Three Face' is also sometimes called 'Three Fates', 'Three Graces' or 'Three Sisters'. No one really know for certain about the inspiration, but it is thought to be a likeness of the face of Elizabeth Miller, the wife of the Duncan's mold superintendent John Miller.
love the work station ........
yes Eye, I have the original Duncan stands in 3 sizes as well as an MMA reproduction. : )
