I bought it a couple of months ago thinking it was smaller and that it might be a salt dish, but as it turned out it's a bomboniere with its lid missing. That's kind of disappointing, but not too much because I love Welz glass, I love dishes with feet, and as far Welz translucent lines go "tomato red" spots are not that common, and considering it was reasonably priced, I have absolutely no regrets. It's 12cm (just under 5in) in diameter and 8cm (tad over 3in) tall.

I think it is beautiful and it's shape is such that it looks 'complete' even without it's lid. I would give it shelf room any day as I too love Welz, and curly feet! On a personal level I am delighted to see proof that Welz did indeed produce curly feet. Thanks for sharing.

Hey friends Thank You for loves and comments!

Yes sklo42 that is big part what attracted me to it, on Welz pieces with feet you usually see hairpin type legs or "starpoint" legs ( I can not think of another name for it so whatever). and with the decor it has you can not argue Welz did not do this type of feet.

Antiquerose yes... that color looks almost toxic, I was kind of convinced earlier that I saw those spots in different colors, but now if you google images for Welz's translucent lines all you see is oxblood spots, so it might be more unusual than I imagined...

Great piece of welz...bet it looks great next to your lime green one!
Here is another example of a welz bowl with this type of foot.

Mac, the feet you mentioned are often referred to as "strutted" feet.
