This is a "wildcard post" as I have never seen anything quite like it. Yes, footed satin glass vases are very common modern production around the world, but the finish on this one said, "Buy me!"
The fineness of the glass and flame-finished rim with ground applied base seem not to be modern or mass-produced. There is sufficient wear to make me think mid-century or before (or someone has gone to a lot of trouble to both make and age it for me to find in my local flea.)
There are similarities with the Klastersky Mlyn (Klostermuehle) section of the Novy Bor tango glass exhibition - in the rim finish and presence of a foot only.
    It is 25cm tall.
This is, I think, one for Vetraio's help.

You've made me laugh out loud! You couldn't be more wrong! And I can't help with your vase either.

it is beautiful Ian. What's different to Bohemian Tango as you know is the glazing and the base. This looks like cameo glass if I were a betting man...

Cameo glass has so many counterfeit and frauded items. But this one has quality written all over it from what I am seeing in your photos.

The other thing that is "different" is the base. I have a similar bell type bottom base vase if that makes sense and I see a lot of cameos with this finishing of base type.

      HOPE THIS HELPS :)

Anne, it isn't cameo glass but I appreciate your comment.

It's really hard to tell from photos...but the glass texture certainly looks that of cameo for mine..which from memory is the term used for the texture rather than the design...something to do with the amount of natural materials within the glass used. Sorry, I don't use google to search. Things and my mind is blank a bit tonight but someone will come across me to help explain what I mean... :)

But like Ai say, texture is hard to see on some photos, I'm sorry for any confusion...
