    Anyone have any ideas on what type of jug this is or when it was created? We are guessing 1895 because of the number on the bottom but we could be completely wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated.

      does it say RYE on the bottom ??
      maybe rye pottery uk looks about 9 inches high so could be a wine or ale/cider jug
