Pennsylvania Four-Ladderback Chair

Its been awhile since my last post, but I wanted to share this last find. I found this chair in the back of a tiny Amish store in the middle of the tourist area in Lancaster PA. I'd never been in the store before, but it was owned by an Amish guy that finds and cleans antique tools and things. I spotted this chair under some blankets in the back, and saw the price tag......it was too good to be true. I asked the guy, and sure enough it was right, 9 dollars.

This looks all original, with perhaps the exception of the seat, but there is a chance it is. Love the X pattern woven splint. The chair is perhaps made of a fruit wood, it is very light. But looks to have some age to it, the turnings are thick, and may be tiny wooden pegs (pic 4) holding the slats. The legs of the chair are clearly worn down over time. Love the finials as well. Any ideas of age, I know this is hard to determine, but I figured I would ask.
