Found this in my Mother in Laws doll collection that I inherited. It looks really old and is marked patent pending. Don't know much about doll collecting but I'm getting intrigued. How can I find out how old this item is? No dates on it anywhere!

Hi Sara, the expression is so great! This doll is only marked patent pending? Nothing else? There is a doll expert who will help you soon:)

Hello Jewels! On the back of the dolls neck it says Ideal patent pending. I will add a picture of the marking. The only info my mother in law left on her USB was a photo and labeled it "old doll " makes me wonder if she even knew much about it.

Yes Jewels, my mother in law collected dolls. She loved dolls. Always said her family was so poor growing up that she never had many dolls to play with so she thought that was why she loved getting
them as an adult. I will post some pictures of them as I sort through her stuff. She also bought so many clothes shoes accessories and everything for the dolls.

She liked the preemie dolls, reborn dolls and ones that are realistic from what I can tell. They are quite cute but I will be keeping only a select few and hopefully finding a buyer for the rest.
