This clock was given to me and I would like to know when & where it was made. It marks the time every quarter hour with one chime and chimes on the hour with the number of hours. The clock face is 9 inches by 9 inches and the diameter of the circle is 4.5 inches. The clock case is 26 inches long; 14 inches wide and 7 inches deep. There is a metal plate with some Roman Numerals attached to the case below the pendulum. It also doesn't really chime every quarter hour it is more of a bong.
In order to help identify your clock, please provide the following:
Any and all information printed, stamped or labeled on the dial, movement, case, pendulum and key. This includes names, trademarks, serial/model/patent numbers and dates.
How often does it need to be re-wound?
Measurements of the dial and case. Please take measurements at the longest, widest, and deepest points only.
Well lit close-ups of the dial, movement and any distinctive decorative feature(s) or labels.
Please note if the case appears to have a simulated or "faux" finish.
Any provenance information.
This information will be very helpful, but it still may not lead to a definitive model or date.
I have a very similar clock. It has the same metal dial face but the clock frame is slightly different. I am no expert but I had mine refurbished by a trusted clock repairman/antique dealer who gave me the following:
1.The clock is most likely made by Gustav Becker in either Freiburg, Germany or Braunau, Bohemia, (most likely Freiburg). Look for the initials "GB" stamped somewhere in the clock. Note there are many different GB stamps , most have a ships anchor with the initials G and B on each side of the anchor.
2. A wall clock that chimes on the quarter hour is rather rare if it has a winding mechanism which I think your's does. It is what is referred to as a "petit sonnerie.
3. The clock was manufactured somewhere before mid-1925 and 1900, but having the actual serial number will help narrow the date.

The clock was made by Junghans it was manufactured in 1912.
If you take the movement out of the case you will see an eight pointed star with a big J in the middle and "unghans" over the J.

Thank you rlwindle for your information about my wall clock. I don't know anything about clocks so I probably won't attempt to take the movement out of the case myself.
I am fairly sure you will find a logo that is a circular pattern with wings on this clock movement. Making it a Keinzle.
