These were my mother's chairs. Never knew where they came from or how old they are just that they've been around since I was a child and I am in my 50's. We lived in the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. These chairs had been reupholstered at one time but suffered from smoke damage a house fire in 2005. The chairs are very well made and sturdy despite the delicate look. Tried to take multiple angles to show the details of the wood carving all around the chair, legs and armrests.
Although I've seen some chairs come close to this style, I've never seen any exactly like these and would appreciate any information regarding these types of chairs. Thanks.

Finally found a couple of somethings after months and months.

Does French Regency Chair sound accurate?

I've seen one or two pairs which have a date in the 1920's. I'm no furniture expert but from the family history and the aged look of the wood and the fine, detailed carving, I'm inclined to believe I might be close.

Still looking for feed back......again, thanks.

Does anyone out there know exactly what these chairs are called or at the very least, can point me in the right direction?

I really could use some information and I know there are some very knowledgeable ladies and gentlemen that can help. It would be so very appreciated.
