My mother in law found this in the catch all room of her parents house, it says it's a girl on the box and she made the comment to me it's probably from when I was born LOL.

Nice display item. Believe it or not they are trying to restore the old cigar factories in Tampa.
Thank you for the love aghcollect.
Thanks for the comment fhrjr2. I didn't know they were restoring them.
There is a big push on over in Tampa to save the old cigar factories. Most of them are really ugly buildings but they do represent history. Many have been torn down in the name of progress. One is now a church in a Cuban American neighborhood. Some still have enough of the old paint you can read the company logo. I am told they didn't have a sign, they painted the company name and logo on the front of the building. It is interesting to see what is left of it.
I heard they had saved the pier in St Pete but nothing about the factories in Tampa it's good to know they are trying to preserve local buildings and history. I collect all kinds of local signs, my first Texaco sign I found was from St Pete it's from 1920 it is one of my first posts.
