I found this piece in an old house that i cleaned out, I have only researched it a little but have potentially found that it was made before 1900 for this company went out of business in the 1940's. It's a nice piece has some minor flaws and has original wooden casters.
The label is not typical for 19th century. I am not familiar with the maker.
Suspect it is 20th century piece (near the end of the companies existence, if the label is original to the piece), but in the style of mid/ late 19th century.
Also the adornment on the top (back) is not something typically found in the 19th century.
Additional photos showing drawer joints and bottom along with interior of the lock may help to confirm dating.

thanks for you help scottvez I will look some more to see if any other markings and it does have dove tail joints on the drawers .
Very nice piece you have here and a VERY lucky find. This piece was manufactured between 1905-1929, if we go by the Berkey and Gay label. Here's a link that shows what labels were used and the periods they were used in. Hope this helps!
