The item was given to me by a friend who purchased it at a house sale in New York state. It is 6 1/4" tall, 3 1/2 " across the base with a expandable cup/lid. Some flasks have a glass interior but this does not. The markings on the base are "Derby Silver Co. quadruple plate, and numbered 1332".
I have not polished the item as can be seen, but the work shows a band of roses around the entire item. There is what appears to be a monograph or etching on the front. Perhaps it was a gift and the etching personal to the receiver.
I would be interested in any and all history regarding the item and/or resources that may assist. My hope is that the 1332 is traceable number.
I could not find a primary category that fits the description for flask so I entered accessories
