This was my great grandmothers set. I think it is just precious and I am honored it has been passed down to me by my grandmother. I'm wondering how old it could be and what the pattern may be called , and what this kind of set was used for. A small cake? Compote? I think it may of been her mothers which is why I'd love to date the set. I'm having a really hard time finding any information at all.
The maker is Germany Wachtersbach. It has a beehive mark on it which I believe started in 1882 with this maker. It also has the number/ letters : DEC 2070, and DTH 4760 on the platter. The plates have 4761 GVH and some plates say DUK 4761.
This side of my family homesteaded the Table Rock area in Southern Oregon in the late 1800's where I still live.
Thanks all for looking and have a wonderful day !
