an old lamp, can't find any marks, any ideas on this one, it is leaded, anyone have any idea where there might be makers marks on it? or it's age, and it works fine and very colorful at nite, thank you for looking.
Beautiful!!!
These Tiffany style lamps are highly sought after pieces. My step dad and his brother (step uncle?) (84 & 91 years old respectfully) had a contest going for years about 30 years ago to see who could get the most and the most beautiful lamps, and each of them have a total of maybe 40 of these style lamps. My step dad has one that is a chandelier hanging over his dining room table that has the same color glass all over that the top part of yours here has. They all have this ornate brass and lead metalwork with some being very small pieces of different color pieces of glass surrounded by this very detailed metal work. And all are extremely heavy. This one you have is gorgeous. Great snag!
thank you :) 2 new pictures with the lamp lit up :)
This lamp is just awesome,I'am really into antique lamps lately
Both Miller and Empire made a similar lamp to this. If it is Miller, it will either be marked EM&Co or Miller under the base. If it is not marked, it may be Empire. It does show up in the Empire catalogue, It is ca 1910 and the glass is great. It isn't a Tiffany, but it is very nice.
