This trunk is in good condition both inside and out. No date or any name on trunk. It has leather panels with embossed sun design in tan color.it has a domed top with bands of wood across the top horizontally. If anyone could tell me more about this trunk would appreciate. Thank you.
Looks like an 1890's dome top leather bound trunk. Many companies at the time made these so without a label difficult to identify. The tooling on the leather was a common motif at the time. Very nice find -- it will refinish nicely. You may want to drag-switch your first picture as it is a bit annoying for viewing when it is sideways and this is the picture that everyone sees first...
Thank you for this, it also has heavy duty leather handles on each side. Also has small wheels that are inset at each corner underneath the chest.
